Royal Wedding Ladies Nite!

Jen and I got together to watch the Royal Wedding and we made it a PJ and hair piece party. I had so much fun creating the hair pieces it was ridiculous!

This was our almost popcorn fire, I've never had one burn completely thru in less than two minutes!!

A Craft Blog...crazy I know!

So I've created my very own craft blog, you might have wondered what MikMak Creations was on the side of our blog, but I find I have a hard time explaining to people what I do for scrapbooking or people ask me to do cards for them (I"m SO not that good yet) but this way I can show people what I do easily. So take a boo if you want.

Have a fabulous week everyone!

Cute As A Bug

So I have to give credit for this frame to Michelle, I stole this idea from her. But I created it for Lindsay, a co-worker of mine that just had a little girl named Scarlett. I didn't have the stamps that Michelle had so I used those foamies, they're fabulous!

Creative Days

So a couple weeks ago, Emma, Jen and I went and did a class at U B the Artist in McKenzie town. We had so much fun and learned the most amazing craft, Glass Fusion. This is a picture of the coaster I made, it's orange, red and a deep turqoise. It was really easy to make but so amazing to be able to create something from your own mind in glass instead of buying something that looks cool in a store for double the price! Needless to say I will be going back, you can make all sorts of things, they have night light kits, necklace kits, and then they have just different shapes of base glass that you can add colors and shapes to, or you can create everything from scratch, it's fabulous.

As well, last week on my b-day Cy, Olivia and I went back to the same shop and created a butterfly tile for Olivia's room. We used her little tootsies to create the wings for the butterfly and then I filled in the body and accents. It turned out perfectly, its red and black (the red looks a little pink here) but it'll hang up in her room and I hope that she can appreciate it for at least a couple years till it embarrasses her when she's a teenager! LOL

Then last night Emma, Carrie and I wen to Michelle's for a card making night, (we had a blast by the way, thanks Michelle it was awesome!) And we created these three cards, isn't Michelle amazing! She pulls these ideas from that fabulous brain of hers! And if I do say so myself, my cards look pretty darn cute, and I'm rather proud of them.

And last night was Olivia and Alyssa's first official sleepover, they slept in the same room and seemed to enjoy each others company, we didn't even have to go up and break up any giggle fests or anything! Such well behaved girls, much more behaved that the girls downstairs for sure! LOL!!!

You've Created a Monster!!!!

I thought I'd post my favorite scrapbook page that I've created so far. It's rather simple but I'm proud of it. (the orange around the edge isn't the actual paper, it's sitting on my album, so the page is just the green part). I'd like to blame this on Michelle but sadly, it's not entirely her fault, I've become addicted to scrapbooking, granted I'm only a beginner. But Michelle helped me make a book for Olivia's first year, and all I had to do was put in pictures and write-ups on her progress. But aparently that wasn't enough for me, I had to jump in with both feet, and now I'm hooked. You can find me lurking in the isles of Michaels a couple days a week and I salivate at the thought of their 40% off coupons coming in the flyers each week. So just a shout out to Michelle, thanks girl you rock!!! Enjoy!
