First Visit to Calaway Park

As a family we've never been to Calaway, we weren't sure if the kids would be able to get on the rides being so young, but when I won some tickets on the radio we figured we had to check it out. We had SO much fun, Cy and I got to ride a bunch of the rides too and it brought us back to being kids and going to Calaway ourselves.

Stampede 2011

We took the kids down to the stampede grounds this past sunday for our annual trip. It was a beautiful day and we all had a great time but were very exhausted by the time we got home, we ended up staying for 8 hours, we completely lost track of time but it was well worth the exhaustion!

Such a change from last year, Carter was SO excited to go on rides this year, it was so much fun to watch him!

By far we really enjoyed the roosters just outside the barns, they were very cool to watch, they also had little ducks (more like toddlers than babies) in with the roosters, Liv LOVED them, wanted to take one home LOL.

Cater couldn't wait to see the miniature donkeys, they were very cute, there was a super fuzzy one and I wanted to take him home!

A Crisp Walk and some Fun

Last Sunday before the big storm hit we went for a walk down in fish creek park. It was nice to just get out in nature, and we decided we want to do it more.

That nite the kids were FULL of energy, we don't really allow jumping on the beds and such but they were having so much fun jumping into the blankets we couldn't help but let them do it for a little bit.

We got Olivia a ride on pink pony at the stampede and she hasn't stopped running around with it, we should have got the brown little heffer for Carter, but we figured since he doesn't walk yet it wouldn't be an issue....boy were we mistaken, lots of fights over the pink pony!!!

Playing At The Beach

We tried to go to Sicome lake on Carters actual birthday but realized once we got there that it doesn't open till next weekend. So as we were driving out, our buddy Mark drove by, and saw us, he was taking his girls to Sundance Lake so we tagged along and ended up having a great time there!
