My son the Dog

I really enjoy it when the kids get along and play together but I'm not so sure if this was playing together or Olivia taking control LOL.

My son the dog, playing in gimli's crate

Swim Time

This was the first time we pulled the pool out this summer, the kids just love playing and swimming and hanging out all day in it.

Cooling themselves with their hats.

I stumbled upon Flyn Rider doing some nude sunbathing in our back yard LOL

Camping....Mak Style

The kids have been talking about camping lately and so tonight they decided they would go camping in the kitchen under the table LOL. They were ready with books, blankies, pillows, stuffies, everything but food! LOL

Stickers!

We gave the kids a sheet of stickers to play with, they decided their bodies were better than paper LOL.

They even stickered Carter's "owie" LOL

First Bike Rides of 2011

The weather today was so beautiful, we still have snow but it was warm enough that we were all wearing shorts and sandals. We dug the kids bikes out and got them riding for the first time this season, Carter can pedal a tiny bit but the steering is a bit off, Liv almost has everything coordinated, except she gets so excited that she pedals as hard as she can and gets going "crazy" as she says and forgets to steer, she fell over about 4 times by taking sharp corners and going off the sidewalk but jumped right back on everytime!

No pictures, just talk.

So, I've decided to take a page out of my friend Carrie's Blog (the Kraus House) and just put some words on the page. Honestly it's more because we haven't taken a lot of pictures lately, just lazy with the camera I guess. But we have been up to some things, last nite the kids started swimming lessons, Olivia is in her first un-parented class, she did everything her instructor asked and waited albeit somewhat impatiently to jump off the wall at the end of the class, we did actually get a video of her jumping off the wall and it was funny, cause the instructor didn't know what he was in for, most of the kids were kind of timid, ya, not Liv, she almost made him fall backwards she jumped so quickly, that's my girl, no fear and part fish! Carter really enjoyed his parented class too, last year he wasn't into swimming at all, he'd cry almost the entire time we were in the pool. But we've been practicing during bath time putting our ears in the water and blowing bubbles and last nite he showed his instructor he could do a front float, back float and go right under the water all by himself, it was awesome! Can't wait for the cabin this summer!

First Sledding of the Year

We've had so much snow in such a short time we decided to save a trip to the sledding hill and made one in our own yard instead, the kids had so much fun it was a fight to get them to come into the house.

Digging up our hill

Mom YES I can eat the snow AND it tastes good!

Carter literally bit the dust on this run!

Pileup!

All sleddings days should end with a cup of luke warm chocolate!

Paper Chains!

While the kids were home sick today we did a project that I was excited to do for the holidays, and the kids really enjoyed it too, they were the tapers on the project, and they did really well!

They wanted to decorate their rooms with the chains.

Olivia was VERY precise as to where her chain must go! LOL

May I Have a Medal Please!

During the Olympics Olivia fell in love with speed skating and every time it was on she'd tell us that she wanted to do that, and skate fast fast fast in circles and then she'd list everyone she knew and they'd come and watch her. Then she saw the medal ceremonies and proclaimed MOMMY I WANT ONE OF THOSE!!! So I asked her how she would get one, thinking she would say Skating, hockey (another sport both her and Carter fell in love with), etc. No no, she looks at me with the sweetest face any 3 year old can muster and says " Mommy may I have a medal please?" LOL. SO I just had to make up some medals and we had an Olympic Medal Ceremony, the kids had so much fun, Liv wore hers for days, even to the grocery store! LOL.

A couple weeks ago we had some nicer weather so we dressed the kids up in their snow gear and tossed them out in the back yard. We still had SO much snow!!

Yes our snowman had mushrooms for ears, rocks for eyes and a mouth and a carrot for a nose!
