New Mittens!

I happened to pick up the kids some new mittens and when I brought them home they wanted to try them on, Carter liked having all 5 fingers so he could pick things up, and Olivia LOVED her fuzzy gloves. I think she looks like a muppet! LOL

Gingerbread House Decorating

While watching my nieces kids last weekend, we decided to break out the candy and decorate some "gingerbread" houses. To keep the houses small we actually used graham crackers to build the houses, it worked great, I think we'll do that next year so each of the kids can decorate their own.

All the kids digging in.

Dayton and her creation, it had a licorice security system and a chocolate chip satalite.

Danni and her house.

Olivia stopped eating candy long enough to turn and gimme a candy filled smile with her house.

Carter was DONE, didn't want to sit in his chair anymore so this is a picture of his house...mom helped a bit, but you can see one of his additions, on the left side of the roof there's a half eaten "goodie" candy that he pulled out of his mouth and stuck to the roof. LOL!!

Assembling Furniture with Children.....

We've found that assembling furniture, (specifically ikea with those damn little allan keys) becomes very interesting with the kids around, they want to help......with EVERYTHING!

Olivia was helping daddy by actually screwing in the screws with the allan key, Carter tho was taking all the screws and sticking them in the different holes all over the inside of the unit, we managed not to lose any! hahaha.

Daddy's little helper

helping mommy from the inside.

toy storage....nah! Kid storage...better!!!

The Silly Family

The kids started it....really! Carter came in with the bucket on his head so Liv grabbed the sobey's bag, unfortunately Carter kept walking around with the bucket on his head without a care in the world, till he walked square into the fridge! LOL

Daddy getting in on the fun.

Chrismafying the Mak's

As most people know, Christmas is my favorite time of year, and the older the kids get the more magical it becomes, Olivia is really starting to understand it, specially the presents, although she did ask Santa for Candy for Christmas LOL. Carter likes all the lights and the ornaments on the tree. I think every year is going to get better and better, it may be cold outside but this time of year warms my heart so much! So here are a few pictures of us Chrismafying the Mak house.

Our tree bag dubbed "Santa's Bodybag" by Cy and I, it's fabulous cause it fits our tree, lights, stand and any extra extension cords, but it's freakin huge!!! It takes up A LOT of room under the stairs, but good thing now is we have a place to hide all the presents now that it's out from under there!

Things that make me happy! Just a couple pictures of my small but loved Christmas decorations...

We love our Advent calendar (don't mind the dates, they were just smacked back on there from last year! lol) We have enough room in each tin to have a treat for all 4 of us and 2 small cookies for the dogs! LOL

The big red bin of ornaments, it's actually not even full, but all my other things are too big to fit!

Olivia loved putting on the star, I daresay though there will be a fight next year, Carter watched and analyzed how she did it!

Our outside lights, we're a bit to intimidated by the pitch of the top roof so we don't venture up there, but it's still pretty bright and cheery. And we don't have the use of a picker to do the top roof line like the guy down the street does every year! LOL

Now that's my kind of Nativity Scene! My newest "smores", Cy bought me the nativity scene that goes with my collection of smores characters. I have almost 15 or so of these marshmallow and chocolate snowman's, all doing different things, love them!

Some More decorations

hahaha the morning after I put these up Olivia came downstairs and said, "Look Mommy Socks!!"

The finished piece.

all lit up...

Weird Weather for November!

Almost looks a little bit like Independence Day! I took these pictures back on November 15th, I can't remember exactly what was going on, but when I got home from work the clouds were so neat I just had to take pictures.

More November Sillyness...

The rest of our November passed with general sillyness and lots of playtime.

Olivia dressed in her birthday gifts, ready to go to the grocery store! LOL

Chilling out on the couch watching TV, too bad the tv is above Carter's head, but he prefer's to lie on that side of the couch.

Olivia's Daddy had her do this to Mommy cause I was singing along with Little Einstiens. The things kids learn from their fathers! hahaha.

Pretending to pull Carter around on a "sled"

Cuddle time with mom after work.

The kids got halloween stickers from the dayhome and one moring wanted to play with them, we figured why not, and Olivia got a little carried away.

Carter started taking them off her legs and putting them on himself! LOL

We got Olivia's birthday present for her the day after her party since she doesn't quite understand the difference between party and christmas since they're so close. But we took her to build a bear, she had so much fun she kept changing her mind everytime she'd see a different bear, but she finally decided on a tie dyed bear she named "Pink" she picked out a pink sequined top, pink plaid skirt, pink hello kitty undies and white shoes (they didn't have pink) with pink flower ear elastics. Oh my! Think she likes pink?

Carter is getting way to independent way to quickly....for me anyway, the other day he just climbed up on a chair and sat at the kitchen table flipping thru a magazine LOL.

What is with my kids and tp! Carter went into the bathroom to blow his nose and ended up just grabbing the end of the roll and walking back to the playroom without ripping it off. hahaha.

Um...yeah...

such greasy kids, but cute!
