A Visit with Santa!

We got our pictures with Santa pretty early this year. But the kids were ready to talk to him and tell him what they wanted, Liv wants Hello Kitty and Carter wanted Spiderman. LOL

More Milestones

We don't experience as many milestones now that the kids are getting bigger, but this one shows us that they're getting taller and that they listen (a little bit better, not always!) They now can sit on the stools at the island to have some meals, this day came so quickly, it's not a huge milestone, but it's a meaningful one, they're not babies anymore, they're getting to be big kids!

Playing in the Leaves

One of my fondest memories as a kid were the forts and houses we made with the rediculous amounts of leaves we had in our neighbourhood. Sadly we don't have very many leaves that stay in our yard in the fall, but we had just enough between the neighbours yard and ours to rake together a small pile for the kids to play in.

First Day of Preschool!

Today was Liv's first day of Preschool, she was excited, and a little apprehensive, she did great, had lots of fun and even brought home some art, and of course a little homework for mommy!

New Boots and a Halloween Party!

I did my back to school shopping for live a while ago, and I hid the bags in my closet, so this morning when I took them out I found there were a couple things I'd totally forgotten that I'd bought. Carter had a bunch of new shirts and each of the kids had a new pair of winter rubber boots, oops!

Carters are little dragons with fins on the front and a tail sticking out the back, he wore them all day and even brought them up to my bed and put them under my pillow when I was getting ready LOL.











Liv loves her "fancy" boots, they're fuzzy inside and "very cool"!











Liv picked up my New Canadian Family magazine I got, she saw the halloween stuff on the cover and started picking out all the spooky food she wants me to make, I feel a Halloween Party coming on!

Saskatoon Berry Farm

The kids and I went out to the Saskatoon Berry Farm just south of Okotoks today for our first U-Pick experience! We had a great time, it might have been a bit late in the season so the berries were slim pickings but mom got enough to make up some white chocolate/saskatoon berry scones (well at least tomorrow that's what we're doing). Although we should have had more berries to bring home but the kids kept eating them out of their pails while I wasn't watching!

LOVE this rocking chair, all the chairs in the pictures are made of out of resin instead of wood so they'll last forever, but this rocking chair was my favorite, I'd love to have it on the porch (cept our porch isn't big enough so I guess it'd be stuck in the back yard) but it's still so bright and cherry and comfy!!

An older gentleman walked by and laughed at Carter commenting that he was catching the last rays of summer.













So there's a sign saying that the roosters may chase after and bite young children, so naturally, mom of the year goes looking for them to show the kids LOL. We came around a corner and almost ran into them, so I pulled the kids out of pecking distance and took a picture. I'm not a big rooter fan, but these guys are kinda pretty with their fall colors and all.

That's My Girl!

Liv has this thing about getting undressed after supper, she doesn't usually make a mess out of herself but once she washes her hands or goes to the bathroom after supper she'll come out naked, so tonight she decided she'd dress it up a bit.....kinda...

A Trip to the Park

We took the kids to the big school park last weekend, they loved all the new things to play with, but while we were there a flock of seagulls dropped by and caught their attention.










So we told the kids to go chase them away....LOL
































Really, she's not trying to strangle him......I think...

April - May So Far...

We got carter his first bike this year, it's one of the ones that has a handle for mom and dad, brilliant!

Everytime we go to toys r us the kids climb into the motorized cars, it's a huge fight to get them out!























We got the kids a new playset for the back yard, I think it's gonna be a fun summer!
